The basics

What is a walk-through video?

A short, cinematic video that moves through your space scene by scene, the way a visitor would walk in. We make it from photos you already have: each photo becomes a scene with a slow, smooth camera move, and the scenes are cut together with music.

Do you need to visit, film or do a photoshoot?

No. There’s no site visit, no film crew and no new photoshoot. You send us photos and we do everything else remotely, so it works wherever your business is.

Is it just a slideshow of my photos?

No. A slideshow fades between still pictures. A walk-through adds camera movement inside each photo, pushing in, panning across and drifting toward doorways, so it feels like moving through the space rather than flipping through an album.

Do you edit or retouch my photos?

We don’t return edited photos. What you get back is a video. Your photos are the raw material for its scenes.

How long is the video?

It depends on how many scenes you have. Each scene runs a few seconds, so a video with up to 8 scenes is short enough that people watch it to the end. Our Fernie Fox Hotel example is 15 seconds long and made from six photos.

What kinds of businesses is it for?

Any business where customers decide whether to visit by looking at photos first: hotels and inns, RV parks, restaurants, salons, dental offices, car dealerships, event venues, gyms, vacation rentals, independent shops and property developers.

What photos should I send?

One photo per scene, up to 8 for a standard video or 12 with the More scenes add-on. A good order is: the outside or entrance, your main spaces, a standout detail, then the view or a finishing shot. Each industry page has a suggested shot list.

Can I use photos from my phone?

Yes. Recent phone cameras are more than good enough. Shoot in daylight, hold the phone sideways and take a couple of options for each space.

Can I use photos from my website, Google listing or an old photoshoot?

Yes, as long as they’re your photos or you have the right to use them. Listing and website photos are often a great starting point.

What makes a photo work well as a scene?

Landscape orientation, taken from a corner or doorway so you can see the depth of the room, with every light on and the blinds open. Tidy counters, tuck away cables and straighten the chairs. Wide shots work better than close-ups for the main spaces.

How big do the photos need to be?

Send the original files rather than screenshots or images saved from social media, which are compressed and lose detail. If a photo looks sharp full-screen on a laptop, it will work.

Can I send renderings instead of photos?

Often, yes. Developers and builders can send renderings of spaces that aren’t finished yet. We’ll let you know before we start if any image won’t work well as a scene.

Can people be in the photos?

Yes. Staff and customers can make a space feel alive. Just make sure anyone recognizable is happy to appear in a marketing video. For healthcare offices, use photos without patients unless they’ve agreed in writing.

What if I don’t have enough photos?

Send what you have. Fewer photos make a shorter video, and that’s fine. If you’re short on a key space, take a quick phone photo of it using the tips above.

How do I send my photos?

After you order, email your photos to hello@onegoodlook.com from the address you ordered with. For lots of photos, send a link to a shared folder instead, such as Google Drive, Dropbox or iCloud.

Using your video

MP4 files that play everywhere: widescreen (16:9) for websites, YouTube and Facebook, and vertical (9:16) for Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. A square (1:1) version for feeds is available as an add-on.

Where should I post it?

Start with your Google Business Profile, since that’s where most local customers decide. Then your website homepage or booking page, Instagram Reels and Stories, Facebook, YouTube, your email newsletter, and any screens in your lobby or window.

How do I add the video to Google Maps?

Sign in to your Google Business Profile, choose to add a photo or video, and upload the widescreen file. Google reviews videos before they appear, which can take a day or two. Google currently accepts videos up to 30 seconds long and 75 MB.

How do I put it on my website?

Most website builders, including Squarespace, Wix, Shopify and WordPress, let you upload an MP4 straight into a video block. You can also upload it to YouTube and embed it from there.

Does the video include music? Can I post it on social media?

Yes. Every video includes music, licensed so you can use it in your marketing, including on social media.

Can I use the video however I like?

Yes. It’s yours to use to market your business, anywhere and for as long as you like: online, in ads, in emails and on screens.

Will you show my video as an example?

Only if you say yes. We may ask if we can feature a video we’re proud of, and we won’t without your permission.
